Job Description

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP Basis Consultant to deliver reliable, high‑performance SAP technical operations across global landscapes. You will be responsible for system administration, installations, upgrades, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and ensuring seamless integration across SAP applications and infrastructure. The role requires strong technical depth across SAP Basis, HANA, cloud environments, and system lifecycle management.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain SAP systems including S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, Solution Manager, and SAP Enterprise Portal.
• Manage SAP HANA database administration including monitoring, backup/restore, performance tuning, and system replication.
• Oversee SAP system copies, client strategies, transport management (CTS/CTS+), and landscape refreshes.
• Perform performance monitoring, root‑cause analysis, and proactive system health checks across all SAP components.
• Administer SAP systems running on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and hybrid environments.
• Ensure seamless integration with SAP BTP, SAP CPI, and other SAP cloud services (where applicable).
• Manage SAP Kernel upgrades, Support Package Stacks, Add‑Ons, and Security Notes implementation.
• Support end‑to‑end project phases including design, build, testing, cutover, go‑live, and hypercare from a technical infrastructure perspective.
• Maintain system security including user administration, role management, and compliance with audit requirements.
• Coordinate with functional, development, and infrastructure teams to ensure stable and optimized SAP operations across all environments.
• Provide L2/L3 support and timely issue resolution with SLA adherence.
• Document system procedures, maintenance plans, and technical configurations.

 

Required Experience

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in SAP Basis administration across multiple SAP products.
• Strong expertise with HANA database administration, performance tuning, and high‑availability setups.
• Experience managing SAP systems on cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) and hybrid landscapes.
• Solid understanding of SAP security concepts, user management, and authorization troubleshooting.
• Strong hands‑on experience with SAP kernel upgrades, Support Pack/Feature Pack installations, and system lifecycle management.
• Experience with SAP Transport Management (CTS/CTS+), Solution Manager (CHARM, Monitoring), and system refresh processes.
• Good understanding of SAP integrations, SAP Router, Web Dispatcher, and network/security-related concepts.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills with experience handling critical incidents.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP BTP administration, SAP Cloud Connector, or CPI integration enablement.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA conversion/upgrade projects.
• Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) or DevOps methodologies.
• Exposure to monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Grafana, SolMan 7.2, or SAP Focused Run.
• Prior consulting experience or participation in large-scale ERP transformation programs.

Focus must be provided on building solutions and on maintaining, optimizing and improving a clients applications and systems. Develop your knowledge in a business andoror industry domain and a Saas or Package Based solution. One can contribute to a business and technical blueprint and customize the respective Software Package Module. Application Consultant is responsible for unit testing, contribute to integration testing, andoror be responsible for the design and delivery of end user training. Certification: Certification on Saas or Package Based solution and relevant methodology, as available
