Junior OT Security Analyst

About the role

We are looking for an OT Security Analyst to support cybersecurity projects for a client in the energy sector, focusing on the analysis, review, and improvement of security practices across systems, networks, and industrial environments.

You will work as part of a cybersecurity team, supporting activities related to OT security, systems and network security, risk assessment, and security architecture review. The role combines technical understanding with documentation, analysis, and coordination activities, helping ensure that security requirements, standards, and best practices are properly considered in industrial and hybrid environments.

The position requires basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles, network security, system security, the Purdue Model, and IEC 62443. Knowledge of industrial security environments and system hardening practices will be positively valued.

The role is 100% remote from Spain, with occasional meetings at the client site in Puerto Real. Occasional travel to other locations in Europe may be required, approximately once per month.

 

 

 

Job Description - Grade Specific

Key responsabilities: 

  • Support cybersecurity activities for systems, networks, and OT/industrial environments.
  • Participate in risk assessment and security analysis activities.
  • Support the review of OT and hybrid IT/OT architectures.
  • Contribute to the identification of security gaps and improvement actions.
  • Develop and maintain security support materials, including models, templates, standards, procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to share best practices and knowledge.
  • Participate in meetings and technical discussions with stakeholders, including meetings held in English.

 

Requirements: 

  • 1 to 4 years of experience in cybersecurity, systems, networks, infrastructure, or related technical environments.
  • Knowledge of system security, network security, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Knowledge of the Purdue Model and IEC 62443.
  • Professional working proficiency in spoken English, as the role involves meetings and coordination in English.
  • Availability to travel occasionally to other locations in Europe, estimated approximately once per month.
  • Desirable: Higher Vocational Training Degree, preferably in IT, Systems Administration, Telecommunications, Cybersecurity, or similar.
  • Desirable: knowledge of OT/industrial security environments.
  • Desirable: basic knowledge of system hardening practices
