Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a Looker Developer with experience in LookML and business intelligence solutions to support the development, optimization, and maintenance of semantic data models. This role will be responsible for translating existing Power BI logic into Looker, enhancing data models, and ensuring alignment with enterprise data products and governance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and map existing Power BI queries and data models for migration or integration into Looker.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance LookML semantic models.
  • Design and optimize LookML views, explores, dimensions, and measures to improve performance and usability.
  • Collaborate with data and business stakeholders to ensure semantic models accurately support reporting and analytics requirements.
  • Align Looker models with Knowledge Catalog Data Products and enterprise data governance frameworks.
  • Ensure data consistency, quality, and best practices across analytics solutions.

Required Skills

  • Hands-on experience with Looker and LookML development.
  • Strong understanding of semantic data modeling and BI concepts.
  • Experience analyzing and translating Power BI queries and reporting logic.
  • Knowledge of data warehouse concepts and SQL.
  • Ability to optimize data models for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Experience working with data catalogs, metadata management, or data governance initiatives is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Gemini-powered analytics capabilities.
  • Background in Business Intelligence, Analytics Engineering, or Data Modeling.
  • Familiarity with enterprise data products and modern analytics ecosystems.
