Software Engineer (React, Node.js)

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for engineers to join a development team working on a product-focused initiative within a large-scale retail environment.

This is a high-impact role, where you will contribute to building and evolving scalable digital solutions supporting core business operations.

You will collaborate in a cross-functional team with designers, data specialists, and domain experts, contributing end-to-end to product development.

Budapest | Hybrid (1 day onsite)
Fluent Hungarian required

Full-time position

YOU WILL

• Develop and maintain applications using React and Node.js
• Contribute to building scalable, high-quality solutions
• Participate in solution design and implementation
• Work in a cloud-native environment
• Support and follow CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, data, business)
• Contribute to testing and ensuring code quality
• Support experimentation efforts (A/B testing, product improvements)
• Continuously learn and improve your technical skills

YOU HAVE

Must-have

• Experience with React (frontend development)
• Working knowledge of Node.js
• Understanding of JavaScript / TypeScript
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Basic understanding of CI/CD and modern development practices
• Good communication and collaboration skills

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
• Exposure to fullstack development
• Understanding of REST APIs
• Interest in product development and experimentation
• Experience working in cross-functional teams
