Senior Frontend Developer - Payments Platform

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for Senior Frontend Engineers to join our remote client team developing a global digital commerce platform that supports large-scale, multi-market order and payment journeys across web and omnichannel experiences.

You will work on mission‑critical payment capabilities within an enterprise-grade Order Management Platform, where frontend quality, resilience and scalability directly impact customer trust and business continuity.

This is not a marketing or content website role — it’s about building robust, reusable, and highly reliable frontend solutions used across multiple countries, payment methods and checkout flows.

Budapest | Hybrid (1 day onsite)

YOU WILL

• Designing and building scalable frontend architectures for complex checkout and payment flows
• Developing reusable, maintainable component libraries shared across multiple markets
• Implementing state-heavy UIs (payment status, retries, errors, fallbacks, refunds)
• Ensuring high standards in performance, accessibility and reliability, especially in payment‑critical moments
• Collaborating closely with backend, product, and platform teams in a DevOps-oriented environment
• Continuously improving developer experience, build pipelines and release quality

YOUR HAVE

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Frontend Engineer working on complex web applications
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React
• Experience with Preact is a plus
• Expert knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3
• Solid styling expertise using SCSS and/or styled-components, with the ability to design scalable styling systems
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture, application state management, and component-driven design
• Experience working with CI/CD concepts, modern build tools and Git-based workflows (e.g. GitHub Actions)
• Experience working with cloud-based platforms, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Ability to write clean, testable, and well-structured code in a large codebase
• Comfortable working in international, cross-functional teams

NICE TO HAVE

• Familiarity with multi-cloud environments or regional cloud setups (e.g. Alibaba Cloud)
