ABOUT THE ROLE

Capgemini is looking for Data Engineers to join a large‑scale global insurance transformation program.
The project focuses on migrating a legacy on‑premise Data Warehouse to a modern Azure Databricks Lakehouse architecture.

You will work from Hungary as part of an international delivery team, building data pipelines and data products in an enterprise‑scale, regulated environment.

Budapest | Hybrid (1 day onsite)
Fluent Hungarian required

YOUR ROLE

  • Analyse source data systems, schemas and data quality
  • Build Azure Databricks data pipelines (bronze, silver, gold layers)
  • Develop data products on a Lakehouse platform
  • Implement batch and mini‑batch processing
  • Capture data lineage and support data governance & data quality tooling
  • Work in an agile, CI/CD‑driven delivery environment

YOUR PROFILE

Must‑have

  • Strong experience with Azure Databricks (Delta Tables, Lakehouse, Spark SQL)
  • Python / PySpark
  • Azure data services (ADLS Gen2, ADF, Azure SQL)
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts (ETL/ELT, CDC, dimensional modelling)
  • Experience with CI/CD for data pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub)

Nice to have

  • Airflow, Kafka / streaming
  • Data governance or data quality tools (e.g. Collibra, Soda)
  • Insurance or financial services background
