We are looking for a Tech Lead – Java to drive the architecture, development, and delivery of Java‑based backend platforms within our Engineering organization.

Your role:

• Own the technical architecture and overall design of Java‑based backend services and platforms
• Drive and validate architectural decisions around frameworks, libraries, and patterns (microservices, event‑driven architectures)
• Ensure solutions meet non‑functional requirements such as performance, scalability, security, and resiliency
• Lead the implementation of complex backend components and integrations
• Review code and design proposals to ensure high standards of quality, testability, and maintainability
• Guide the team on API design, data modeling, and transaction management
• Proactively identify and address technical debt and architectural risks
• Act as the technical authority and escalation point for Java engineering topics
• Mentor senior and mid‑level engineers and support their technical growth
• Set, promote, and enforce coding standards, testing strategies, and engineering best practices
• Collaborate closely with Product, Architecture, QA, and DevOps to deliver end‑to‑end solutions
• Translate business requirements into robust technical designs and delivery plans
• Communicate technical trade‑offs, risks, and decisions clearly to stakeholders

Your profile:

• 7+ years of professional software development experience, primarily in Java
• At least 2 years in a senior engineering or technical leadership role
• Strong expertise in Java 11+ (ideally Java 17), with solid understanding of JVM internals and memory management
• Extensive experience with Spring / Spring Boot and Spring Cloud
• Proven experience designing and evolving distributed backend systems
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, OpenAPI standards, and asynchronous messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL) and ORM technologies (Hibernate/JPA)
• Solid testing practices using JUnit, Mockito, and integration / contract testing
• Experience with build tools (Maven / Gradle) and CI/CD pipelines
• Hands‑on experience with Docker; Kubernetes experience is a plus
• Exposure to public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns and system reliability
• Very good communication skills in English
• Strong analytical mindset and pragmatic problem‑solving approach

Nice to have:

• Experience with event‑driven or reactive architectures (Kafka, WebFlux, RxJava)
• Knowledge of security standards and mechanisms (OAuth2, OIDC, JWT)
• Experience modernizing monolithic systems or leading cloud migration initiatives
• Background in building or operating high‑availability / high‑throughput systems
