Your role
As a Junior DevOps Engineer with Capgemini, you will support the design, deployment, and automation of cloud infrastructure while building strong foundations in Infrastructure as Code and cloud platforms. Working within a structured engineering team and under the guidance of senior engineers, you will contribute to secure, scalable environments on Azure or AWS while continuously developing your technical skills.
In this role you will:
- Support the design, deployment, and automation of cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code principles, primarily with Terraform.
- Assist in provisioning and maintaining cloud environments (development, test, non‑production) on Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services.
- Contribute to updating and managing Terraform modules, variables, and state files, following version control and code review processes.
- Support automation and operational activities related to infrastructure deployment, configuration, and environment standardization.
- Help troubleshoot basic infrastructure, automation, and deployment issues in collaboration with DevOps and Cloud teams.
- Contribute to technical documentation and runbooks, and actively participate in team ceremonies, knowledge‑sharing sessions, and learning activities.
Your profile
- 0–2 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, or DevOps‑related roles (including internships, graduate roles, or apprenticeships).
- Basic understanding of cloud concepts and hands‑on exposure to Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services.
- Foundational knowledge of Terraform gained through labs, coursework, personal projects, or early professional experience.
- Familiarity with Git and version control, as well as basic networking concepts (VPC/VNET, subnets, security groups).
- Exposure to scripting (Bash, PowerShell, or Python), CI/CD concepts, or Linux environments is a plus.
- Strong willingness to learn cloud and automation technologies, with an analytical mindset and attention to detail, and the ability to work in international, multicultural teams.
