Infrastructure Automation Specialist (Terraform)

Responsibility for overseeing infrastructure connectivity and security equipment. They will be able to identify and resolve issues on the connectivity infrastructure and establish security best practices. They are ultimately responsible for maintaining infrastructure systems - including Network, Zero Trust Segmentation (AKA Micro-Seg), NGFW, NAC and Load Balancing.

Your Role:

  • Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform, under the guidance of senior engineers, following Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
  • Update and manage Terraform modules, variables, and state files while adhering to version control and code review processes.
  • Assist in provisioning cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Support multiple environments including development, test, and non-production.
  • Apply and continuously learn cloud best practices related to reliability and cost awareness.
  • Support automation activities related to infrastructure deployment and environment setup.
  • Assist with configuration management and infrastructure standardization across environments.
  • Help troubleshoot basic infrastructure and deployment-related issues.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and operational runbooks.
  • Collaborate closely with DevOps, Cloud, and Development teams.
  • Participate in team ceremonies, knowledge-sharing activities, and continuous learning sessions.

Your Profile:

  • Basic understanding of cloud concepts within Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Fundamental, hands-on knowledge of Terraform gained through labs, projects, coursework, or early professional experience.
  • Familiarity with Git and version control practices.
  • Understanding of basic networking concepts, including VPC/VNET, subnets, and security groups.
  • Strong willingness to learn automation, infrastructure, and cloud engineering practices.
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or final year student) in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field,
    or equivalent practical experience or certifications.
