Snowflake Data Engineer

About the job

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with the following focus: Snowflake architecture and administration concepts,DBT development and project structuring,Advanced SQL development / Query optimization and performance tuning and Data warehouse and dimensional modelling.

YOUR ROLE

• Design, build, and optimize cloud-native data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakehouses using the Snowflake AI Data Cloud ecosystem
• Developing ELT/ETL processes, writing advanced SQL, utilizing Python or Snowpark, and tuning warehouse performance to support analytics
• Pipeline Development: Design and build scalable ingestion and transformation pipelines using tools like Snowpipe, dbt, Fivetran, or Airflow.
• Snowflake Optimization: Manage virtual warehouses, clustering keys, materialized views, streams, and tasks to optimize query performance and control credit costs.
• Data Modeling: Implement dimensional modeling, star schemas, or Data Vault architectures.
• Collaboration: Partner with data scientists, analysts, and product owners to translate business needs into robust technical data models.

YOUR PROFILE

• 3 to 7+ years in data engineering or data warehousing/datalake, with at least 2–3 years focused heavily on Snowflake.
• Technical Stack: Advanced SQL, Python, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Snowflake Competencies: Snowpark, Stored Procedures, Snowpipe, and dynamic tables.
• Orchestration & Tools: Experience with dbt, Apache Airflow, Git, and CI/CD pipelines
