Non - Conformance Design Engineer

Your role

This opportunity is for a Non-Conformance Design Engineer within the Capgemini Engineering Design Engineering team, supporting the assessment and resolution of engineering non-conformances. You will develop technically robust dispositions, produce engineering reports, and work closely with specialists to ensure compliance with design requirements, procedures, and manufacturing best practices.


•    Assess non-conformances through Concessions, Deviation Permits, and Drawing Alteration Requests (DARs), providing clear technical justification and disposition recommendations.
•    Produce technical documentation, including assessment reports, while reviewing engineering drawings and performing calculations such as tolerancing and bolt checks.
•    Collaborate with non-conformance specialists and apply Design for Manufacture (DfM) principles to deliver practical, compliant engineering solutions.

Your profile

This role is suited to an engineer with experience in aero or marine engine design and a strong understanding of complex propulsion systems and associated components. You will bring excellent collaboration and communication skills, working closely with specialist teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions in a fast-paced environment.


•    Experience in the design of aero or marine engine systems and components, with knowledge of manufacturing processes highly desirable.
•    Understanding of non-conformance, concession, producibility, and engineering approval processes, with the ability to deliver accurate solutions to demanding client timescales.
•    Strong communication and teamwork skills, with experience collaborating across specialist disciplines such as Stress and Materials Engineering.
