HVAC, Fluids & Heating Systems Engineer

Your role

We are seeking a versatile and experienced HVAC, Fluids, and Heating Systems Engineer to support projects from feasibility through detailed design and into site delivery. You will work closely with construction teams and multidisciplinary engineering functions, combining strong technical capability with practical site experience to deliver compliant, well‑integrated solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver HVAC and fluid systems design across feasibility, basic, and detailed design stages, including calculations, specifications, drawings, and Bills of Quantities.
  • Conduct site surveys and visits, providing technical support to construction teams and resolving issues to ensure design intent is achieved.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and ensure all designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulations, producing clear technical reports and presentations.

Your profile

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with strong experience in HVAC, heating, and fluid systems, covering feasibility through to detailed design and site delivery. The role requires a solid grounding in core engineering principles, hands‑on design capability, and the confidence to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and construction environments.

Essential skills

  • Degree‑qualified in Mechanical, Chemical, or a related engineering discipline, with proven experience designing HVAC, heating, and fluid systems across all design stages.
  • Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer, alongside proficiency in industry‑standard design tools and relevant codes and standards (e.g. ASHRAE, CIBSE).
  • Significant site and field experience, including surveys and construction support, with excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Proactive, self‑motivated, and adaptable, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team while managing multiple priorities.
  • Highly organised, quality‑focused, and committed to safety in both design and site environments.
