Workplace Engineer

Your Role

Salary: below $107,000

Location: Brisbane

Responsibilities:

  • Provide onsite technical support at customer locations by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues for end users.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop systems, applications, and peripherals while ensuring reliable performance and a high level of customer service.
  • Provide onsite desktop support at customer sites, responding to incidents and service requests in a timely manner.
  • Manage and track tickets using a service management system, ensuring accurate updates, prioritisation, and resolution within SLAs.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and peripheral issues for end users.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, communicating clearly with users and stakeholders.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop/laptop systems, operating systems, and standard applications.
  • Set up and support devices such as printers, mobile devices, and conferencing equipment.
  • Document issues, resolutions, and procedures in ticketing systems and knowledge bases.

Your Profile

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Experience providing desktop or IT support in a corporate or customer-facing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, standard business applications, and basic networking concepts.
  • Familiarity with ticketing/service management systems and working within SLAs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and peripheral issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, both onsite and remote.
  • Basic understanding of user account management and security best practices.
  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g.,ITIL Foundation) or equivalent practical experience.
