Senior Consultant, Public Sector

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Consultant to join our Capgemini Invent Public Sector team based in Brisbane, Queensland. You will support the delivery of strategic advisory and transformation engagements for government clients, contributing to the successful delivery of complex programs across digital, technology, operating model and service improvement initiatives. You will bring strong consulting, analytical and stakeholder engagement skills, a developing specialisation in Public Sector, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for clients.

In this role you will play a key role in:

• Delivering high-quality consulting and transformation outcomes across Public Sector engagements.
• Analysing client challenges and developing practical recommendations across strategy, technology, operating model and service improvement initiatives.
• Building trusted relationships with government stakeholders and contributing to successful delivery.
• Supporting business development, client account management and broader practice development opportunities as they arise.
• Contributing to knowledge sharing, mentoring, reusable assets and the ongoing growth of the Public Sector practice.

Job Description - Grade Specific

• Proven delivery of consulting, advisory, project or transformation engagements within government, infrastructure, technology or similarly complex stakeholder environments.
• Interest in, or developing knowledge of, Public Sector priorities, policy frameworks and service delivery environments.
• Ability to manage priorities, contribute to complex transformation programs and deliver high-quality outcomes in dynamic stakeholder environments.
• Exposure to large-scale digital, ICT, infrastructure, PMO or service transformation programs, ideally in a systems integrator or delivery partner capacity.
• Demonstrated ability to build trusted stakeholder relationships, navigate complex issues and work collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, PRINCE2, MSP (Managing Successful Programmes), PMBOK or similar project and program delivery methodologies.
• Structured problem-solving capability and a growth mindset focused on continuous learning, innovation and client value creation.
