SAP Finance Solution Architect

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Finance Solution Architect to lead the architecture, design, and governance of SAP Finance solutions across large-scale transformation and implementation programs. This role will play a critical part in shaping end-to-end finance solutions, guiding strategic design decisions, and ensuring alignment between business objectives, enterprise architecture, and SAP best practices.

Working closely with executive stakeholders, business leaders, project teams, and technology partners, you will provide architectural leadership throughout the program lifecycle while driving the adoption of modern SAP Finance capabilities across SAP S/4HANA, RISE with SAP, and GROW with SAP.

This position is covered by the Professional Employees Award. Remuneration for this role is structured in accordance with this award, with classification level and salary determined based on the successful candidate's experience and qualifications. Full statutory entitlements, including the standard Superannuation Guarantee, apply.  

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and governance of SAP Finance solutions.
• Define end-to-end solutions aligned to business strategy and SAP best practices.
• Guide key design decisions across finance, integration, and technical domains.
• Drive Solution Design Authority (SDA) governance and architectural oversight.
• Resolve complex solution challenges, balancing business needs, SAP standards, and long-term sustainability.
• Act as the primary SAP Finance architecture advisor, managing risks, dependencies, and stakeholder engagement.
• Provide thought leadership on SAP S/4HANA Finance, innovation, and emerging industry trends.

About You

You will bring:

• 12+ years' experience in SAP Finance solution architecture, with deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance and Controlling.
• Proven experience delivering and governing complex SAP transformation programs, including end-to-end implementation lifecycle experience.
• Strong architecture leadership, design governance, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence business and technology leaders.
• Demonstrated success designing SAP Finance solutions across complex business and technology environments.
• Experience within public sector or not-for-profit organisations will be highly regarded.
• Exposure to Selective Data Transition (SDT), Group Reporting, Advanced Financial Closing, Central Finance, or Document and Reporting Compliance is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Grant Management and/or Funds Management is desirable.
