As a Client Partner – Energy Utility & Technology, you will serve as a strategic business leader responsible for growing and strengthening some of Capgemini’s most important client relationships. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior executives, you will help clients navigate business transformation while driving measurable value through Capgemini’s broad portfolio of consulting, technology, and managed services solutions.
Client Partners are experienced in managing mid-sized to large regional or global accounts and are recognized by clients as strategic partners with a deep understanding of their business objectives, industry challenges, and growth priorities. They develop and maintain long-term executive relationships, identify transformative opportunities, and align Capgemini’s capabilities with client needs to drive mutual success.
This role offers the opportunity to manage and expand a portfolio of strategic accounts, influence executive decision-makers, and shape transformational initiatives across some of the industry's most recognized organizations. Success in this role requires a combination of strategic thinking, business acumen, relationship management, and sales leadership, with accountability for business growth, client satisfaction, delivery excellence, and long-term account development.
You will play a pivotal role in helping clients achieve their strategic objectives while contributing to Capgemini’s market growth, financial performance, and industry leadership.
Your role
- Manage a portfolio of 1–3 strategic clients within the Energy Utility & Technology sector.
- Own and achieve account revenue, bookings, profitability, and growth objectives across the Americas and globally.
- Develop and execute account strategies that identify new business opportunities, expand existing engagements, and increase Capgemini’s market presence.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with C-suite and senior business executives, serving as a strategic advisor to key stakeholders.
- Understand client business priorities, culture, and decision-making processes to position Capgemini as a preferred transformation partner.
- Collaborate across Capgemini’s service lines, practices, and solution teams to bring the full breadth of Capgemini capabilities to clients.
- Drive pipeline development through new opportunities, contract expansions, and transformational initiatives.
- Serve as an executive escalation point and partner with delivery leadership to ensure successful execution and client satisfaction.
- Represent Capgemini at executive and board-level discussions, ensuring strong positioning for strategic programs, large pursuits, and major transformation initiatives.
- Champion customer success by maintaining high levels of client satisfaction and supporting long-term partnership growth.
- Stay current on industry trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies impacting client investment decisions.
Your Skills and Experience
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree.
- Minimum 5 years of experience serving clients within the INDUSTRY, preferably supporting organizations with revenues exceeding $5B.
- Minimum 10 years of experience selling complex technology, consulting, and IT services solutions.
- At least 5 years of recent experience selling technology consulting services for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 global consulting or services organization.
- Demonstrated success developing executive-level relationships and influencing senior decision-makers.
- Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding annual sales and revenue targets on a year-over-year basis.
- Experience selling consulting led transformation programs and large-scale technology services engagements.
- Strong understanding of industry trends, market dynamics, business challenges, and factors influencing technology investment decisions.
- Experience managing strategic accounts while driving both account growth and delivery excellence.
- History of successfully selling and managing technology services across multiple solution areas, including: Application Lifecycle Services, Cloud Services, Digital Transformation, Quality Engineering and Testing, Mobility Solutions and Data & Analytics Services.
- Outstanding executive communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a global operating model and cross-functional service delivery environment.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying current on business and technology trends.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly competitive sales environment.
- Ability to travel as required to support client and business needs.
- High level of professional integrity, accountability, and business acumen.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is $139,400 - $277,200
Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.
The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.
These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.
It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.
In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
