Infrastructure Automation Specialist - Terraform

Your Role

As an AI Driven Infrastructure Automation Specialist with Capgemini, you will design, implement, and optimize cloud infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. You will work with Terraform and cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure) to build secure, scalable, and standardized environments, contributing to automation frameworks and reusable infrastructure components. Working within a collaborative engineering team, you will take ownership of well-defined deliverables, support production-ready environments, and continuously enhance your expertise in cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and automation. 

In this role you will: 

• Design, implement, and automate cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code principles, primarily with Terraform 
• Provision, configure, and maintain cloud environments (development, test, and non-production) on Microsoft Azure and/or AWS, ensuring reliability, security, and cost awareness 
• Develop and manage Terraform modules, variables, and state files, applying best practices in version control, reusability, and code review processes 
• Drive automation and standardization initiatives for infrastructure deployment, configuration, and environment consistency across platforms 
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, automation, and deployment issues, collaborating effectively with DevOps and Cloud engineering teams 
• Create and maintain technical documentation and runbooks, ensuring clarity, usability, and alignment with operational practices 
• Actively contribute to team collaboration and continuous improvement, participating in ceremonies, knowledge sharing, and proposing enhancements to existing automation and processes 

Your Profile

• 2–4 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, or DevOps engineering roles 
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms with hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS), including environment provisioning and basic architecture concepts 
• Practical experience with Terraform, including developing and maintaining IaC configurations, modules, and state management in real or project-based environments 
• Proficiency with Git and version control workflows, including branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews; good understanding of networking concepts (VPC/VNet, subnets, security groups) 
• Hands-on experience with scripting and automation, using Bash, PowerShell, or Python, and familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to troubleshoot infrastructure and automation issues independently 
• Ability to work effectively in international, multicultural teams, with good communication skills and a proactive, continuous improvement mindset 
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken. Good knowledge of French will be a strong differentiator.
