Cloud Architect

Your Role

As an AI‑driven Cloud Architect with Capgemini, you will define and govern cloud architecture across AWS and/or Azure to enable secure, scalable, compliant, and cost‑effective platforms and solutions. You will establish architectural standards and frameworks, lead architecture decision-making, and guide teams through design and delivery—leveraging AI-assisted engineering practices to accelerate validation, documentation, and continuous optimization. 

You will collaborate closely with engineering, security, operations, and business stakeholders to ensure solutions are aligned with enterprise strategy, governance, and outcomes. 

In this role you will: 

• Define and maintain cloud architecture standards, guardrails, and reference architectures across AWS and Azure, ensuring consistency and alignment with enterprise strategy 
• Govern architecture decisions through design reviews, ADRs, and roadmap definition, balancing agility with enterprise constraints 
• Design end-to-end cloud solutions across applications, data, integration, and security domains to address business needs 
• Translate requirements into scalable, resilient, and cost‑efficient architectures using native cloud services and industry patterns (AWS/Azure) 
• Guide deployment and change strategies (CI/CD, blue/green, canary releases, migration approaches) to minimize risk and service disruption 
• Ensure compliance and governance using cloud-native controls (e.g., Azure Policy / AWS Organizations & SCPs, RBAC/IAM, encryption, logging, data residency) 
• Design and validate cloud networking architectures (VNet/VPC design, segmentation, DNS, hybrid connectivity, secure access patterns) 
• Embed secure-by-design principles and support security assessments (identity and access management, key management, threat modeling, cloud security posture management) 
• Drive operational excellence and reliability, aligning architecture decisions with monitoring, alerting, SLOs/SLAs, and business outcomes 
• Leverage AI-assisted engineering practices to improve architecture design, documentation, validation, and ongoing optimization 

Your Profile

• 5–8 years of experience in cloud engineering / solution or infrastructure architecture with ownership of architecture decisions
• Hands-on experience designing and operating production-grade environments on Azure or AWS
• Ability to define and enforce architecture standards and governance frameworks (reviews, modeling practices)
• Strong knowledge of cloud fundamentals (compute, storage, networking, identity, security, resiliency, cost optimization)
• Experience designing network architectures (VNet/VPC, hybrid connectivity, routing, DNS, segmentation)
• Proven experience with security assessments and embedding security controls into architecture designs
• Solid understanding of compliance requirements and implementation in cloud environments
• Ability to design for operability and reliability (observability, DR, runbooks, supportability, change management)
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills, including mentoring and guiding engineering teams
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken. Good knowledge of French will be a strong differentiator.
