Job Description
We are looking for a Server Virtualization Engineer/ Server admin migration engineer with strong Windows infrastructure experience to support infrastructure and file server migration activities within an IT M&A environment. While the role requires solid expertise in virtualized server environments, it also involves hands-on execution of data and file migrations from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support VMware-based virtualized environments across production and non-production systems.
- Execute infrastructure and file server migrations, including discovery, planning, migration, validation, and post-migration support.
- Perform data migrations using tools such as Robocopy, RClone, and PowerShell scripts.
- Manage Windows file servers, including NTFS permissions and Windows shares.
- Support Active Directory and Azure AD / Entra ID activities related to access and migrations.
- Collaborate with networking, security, cloud, and third-party teams to enable migration readiness.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and provide status updates to stakeholders.
- Participate in technical meetings and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams
Required Skills
- Strong english B2 english skills
- Strong experience in VMware and Windows Server administration.
- Experience with on-premise datacenter environments.
- Hands-on exposure to file and data migrations.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, NTFS permissions, and Windows shares.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Basic understanding of networking and VPN concepts.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks end-to-end.
