Your Role

As a Server Admin Migration Engineer, you will be a key member of our Mergers & Acquisitions Technology team, taking ownership of complex data migration projects from end to end. You will work across the full lifecycle — from due diligence and discovery through to execution and post-migration support — ensuring seamless and successful outcomes.

In this role you will play a key role in:

Leading and executing complex end-to-end data migration projects, including planning, discovery, execution, and post-migration support, ensuring accuracy and minimal disruption to operations
Developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Robocopy and PowerShell scripts to automate and optimize data migration processes across file servers and cloud environments
Administering and supporting Windows environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, NTFS permissions, and Azure AD/Entra ID, across both on-premise and cloud infrastructure
Collaborating with project managers, technical subject matter experts, and non-technical stakeholders to provide clear updates, technical overviews, and guidance throughout migration projects
Providing technical solutions and BAU support across production and test environments, including troubleshooting user access issues and working with third-party and managed service providers as needed

Your Profile

We are looking for a technically strong and proactive engineer with around 4 years of experience in systems administration and data migration, who is comfortable taking ownership of projects and communicating effectively across teams.

Solid hands-on experience with data migration tools and technologies, including Robocopy, RClone, and SFTP protocols, along with experience managing and moving large unstructured datasets
Strong knowledge of Windows environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, NTFS and Windows share permissions, file server management, and Azure AD/Entra ID
Proficiency in scripting, particularly PowerShell and Batch files, with the ability to create, modify, and troubleshoot scripts to support migration and automation tasks
Familiarity with cloud and virtualisation technologies including Azure fundamentals and VMware, as well as experience working with SaaS file-sharing platforms such as Dropbox or ShareFile
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead technical meetings, produce clear documentation, and work effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues
