Engineering Country Head

To strengthen our Country leadership at Colombia and help our clients deliver their key projects, we are looking for Engineering Country Head to manage strategic leadership at country level and drive growth & operations by leveraging on key opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Country Leadership & Business Growth
- Establish and scale engineering operations and delivery capabilities in Colombia
- Drive execution of regional and global engineering strategies, with a focus on accelerating growth and innovation
- Lead and oversee all client-facing engineering and engagement leaders within the location
- Partner with commercial and delivery teams to support account growth and client expansion
- Champion the positioning and visibility of the Colombia engineering hub within the broader organization
- Ensure consistently high levels of customer satisfaction and service excellence
- Contribute to strengthening the organization's competitiveness and market positioning
Talent Strategy & Organizational Development
- Lead the growth of the engineering workforce, including hiring, onboarding, and capability development
- Build and develop leadership pipelines by identifying, mentoring, and promoting future leaders
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define and implement strategies for:
Talent acquisition and retention
Employee engagement and culture
Workforce development and upskilling
Continuously enhance organizational effectiveness and team performance
Operational & Financial Leadership
- Own full accountability for delivery performance and financial outcomes across engineering engagements
- Manage budgets, including engineering, technology, and support functions within the center
- Drive operational efficiency through:
Cost optimization initiatives
Effective workforce structuring (pyramid management)
Continuous improvement programs - Ensure services are delivered in line with contractual commitments and service level agreements (SLAs)
- Monitor and drive key business metrics, including revenue, profitability, and operational KPIs
- Support the deployment of best practices, tools, and standards across accounts
Profile
- 10+ years of experience in engineering / R&D environments, including leadership roles
- Proven track record managing large-scale teams and complex delivery organizations
- Experience in services or consulting environments is preferred
- Strong exposure to commercial models, client engagement, and revenue growth
- Experience driving or contributing to digital transformation initiatives is a plus
- Background in software engineering and technology-led delivery environments
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environment
- Entrepreneurial mindset with high levels of ownership and autonomy
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire and develop teams
- Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable operating under pressure
- Fluent in English
