Data Hub Operations Engineer (Azure)

Your role

In this role you will play a key role in:

  • Managing and supporting Azure-based data platforms including AKS, Data Factory, Data Lake, and Databricks environments for Data Hub Operations
  • Providing L2 support and serving as an escalation point for production issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operationsImplementing and maintaining ETL/ELT processes, data orchestration, and automation using SQL and Python
  • Monitoring system performance and health using tools like Splunk and Datadog to proactively identify and resolve issues
  • Supporting streaming platforms such as Kafka and EventHub to ensure reliable data flow across systems
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement DevOps best practices using Azure DevOps and GitTroubleshooting complex technical issues in NoSQL databases, particularly Apache Cassandra
  • Working within US time zone (PST 9AM-4PM core hours) to provide seamless support to client operations

Your profile

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, particularly AKS, Data Factory, Data Lake, and Databricks
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation, pipeline development, and automation
  • Experience with streaming platforms like Kafka and EventHub
  • Expertise in monitoring tools such as Splunk and Datadog
  • Proven experience with ETL/ELT processes and data orchestration in production environments
  • Working knowledge of NoSQL databases, particularly Apache Cassandra
  • Solid understanding of networking in cloud environments
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools including Azure DevOps and GitITIL certification is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a global team environ
