Siemens NX Ship Design Specialist
Your role
We are seeking an experienced Siemens NX Ship Design Specialist to provide technical leadership in the application of Siemens NX Shipbuilding software for the design of complex marine engineering environments. You will act as the bridge between marine engineering, digital engineering, detailed design and PLM, helping to define and implement effective ship design processes that support both engineering and production requirements across the shipbuilding lifecycle.
- Extensive experience using Siemens NX Ship Design within marine, naval or shipbuilding environments, with strong knowledge of hull structures, outfitting, piping, HVAC, electrical systems and multidisciplinary ship design.
- Strong understanding of shipyard engineering and production processes, with the ability to translate operational requirements into effective NX workflows, methodologies and solution designs.
- Experience working with Teamcenter, PLM environments, digital thread and digital twin concepts, supporting complex product structures, engineering configurations and cross-functional collaboration.
Your profile
We are looking for a candidate with strong experience applying Siemens NX and Teamcenter within complex engineering environments, ideally within shipbuilding, marine, offshore or similarly regulated industries. The successful candidate will possess a detailed understanding of multidisciplinary engineering design and be confident translating engineering requirements into effective CAD and PLM solutions that support the full product lifecycle, from concept through to production.
- Proven hands-on experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter, supporting complex products and engineering data management within marine, shipbuilding, offshore or comparable engineering sectors.
- Strong understanding of multidisciplinary engineering environments, including the interaction between structures, mechanical equipment, piping, HVAC and electrical systems throughout the design and build lifecycle.
- Ability to develop and communicate CAD and PLM solution architectures, translating business and engineering requirements into practical workflows while engaging effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
