About the job you’re considering

To support the continued growth of our data led operations and insight capabilities, Capgemini is expanding its data engineering community. We are seeking a Data Engineer with a strong focus on the implementation, configuration, and use of Databricks to deliver scalable, secure data platforms and actionable insights.

You will design and build data analytics solutions that enable both internal teams and clients to visualise, understand, and act on their data. The role is focused on turning raw operational and business data into meaningful insights, supporting improved decision making, service performance, and operational efficiency.

Your role

This role includes the following responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining data pipelines to ingest, transform, and curate data from multiple sources.
  • Using Databricks, SQL, and analytical tools to create high quality datasets suitable for insight and visualisation.
  • Producing internal and client facing dashboards and visualisations that provide operational insight and business value.
  • Working with stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements and translating them into effective data solutions.
  • Supporting the use of data to improve operational performance, service quality, and decision making.
  • Ensuring data solutions align to security, governance, and data quality standards.
  • Collaborating with architects, platform teams, and operations teams to ensure solutions are scalable and supportable.
  • Supporting the evolution of data platforms, including optimisation, cost control, and performance improvement.
  • Contributing to documentation, standards, and best practices for data engineering and analytics.

You can bring your whole self to work. At Capgemini building an inclusive future is part of everyday life and will be part of your working reality. We have built a representative and welcoming environment, for everyone.

Your skills and experience

  • Proven Data Engineer experience in enterprise/client environments, with strong Databricks expertise

  • Experience designing data models and datasets for reporting tools (e.g. Power BI)
  • Skilled in working with diverse data sources and applying data governance, security, and quality principles
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and agile delivery experience, with ability to explain data to non-technical stakeholders
