About the job you’re considering

 

As a Graduate Software Engineer in our Digital Customer Experience (DCX) team, you’ll design and build responsive web applications, accelerated by AI-assisted code generation. You will integrate AI-driven features and solutions across the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional digital experiences for global clients.

Your role

 

  • Develop and maintain web applications using modern frameworks and tools.

 

  • Experiment with AI tools and integrate AI-driven features to write better code faster, generate test cases and documentation, and improve user experience with smart features.

 

  • Work with experienced engineers to understand best practices in software design, testing and deployment.

 

  • Work with clients and internal teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.

 

  • Craft and refine prompts for large language models (LLMs) to make applications more intelligent and user-friendly.

 

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and testing for quality assurance.

 

  • Explore emerging technologies and contribute to innovation initiatives. You can bring your whole self to work. Your skills and experience

 

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI/ML or related STEM discipline.

 

  • Foundation in full-stack development (HTML/CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, or similar).

 

  • Familiarity with GenAI tools (e.g. OpenAI, Azure OpenAI).

 

  • Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure of GCP).

 

  • Interest in AI, modern web development and automation.

 

  • Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn.

 

  • Strong communication skills and collaborative attitude.

 

Desirable

 

  • Awareness of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and Agile methodologies.

 

  • Exposure to AI-assisted testing frameworks.

 

  • Understanding of API design and microservices architecture.

 

Your clearance

 

If you are successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of pre-employment checks, including:  identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status, employment history going back 3 continuous years, and unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service). 

 

Your security clearance

 

Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) 

 

To be successfully appointed to this role you will need to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks.  

 

There are no nationality or residency restrictions, although if you have resided outside of the UK within the last 3 years, further checks may be required. 

 

There are other criteria and check required for BPSS, and throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality.
