Who You Will Be Working With

 

You will join the Data Trust Capability in Capgemini’s Insights and Data (I&D) business unit. Insights and Data is a global business unit covering Enterprise Data Management, Cloud Platforms, Enterprise Content Management and AI & Analytics.

The Enterprise Data Management provides services on Information Strategy, Data Governance, Master Data Management, Data Architecture, Data Migration and Lifecycle Management. 

 

We help our clients build an enterprise-class data platform that allows them to move ahead in their journey of data and insights. Primarily working with leading software vendors like SAP, Informatica, IBM, Oracle et al, the team are first and foremost Consultants, putting client requirements and industry best practices at the heart of delivery.
 

The Focus Of Your Role

We are seeking delivery-focused individual with strong client-facing experience to drive business analysis for our client businesses. You will often act as a conduit into our client and take the lead in driving data issue resolution, enlisting the support of the relevant Business Owners, Data Stewards and other technical forum members, as required, by providing Data Management expertise and guidance.


The Business Analyst will be responsible for shaping business processes and requirements, assisting solution design, and contribute to delivery of enterprise scale data management, compliance, risk, and security solutions. This role ensures our clients maximise the value of their data estate while maintaining compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Work closely with Business and Technology teams across clients to define, analyse and implement changes.
  • Lead business analysis activities including process definition, requirement elicitation documentation and validation.
  • Shape and articulate clear business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
  • Assist client leads in understanding the scope of their data initiatives.
  • Produce high-quality documentation, results and findings.
  • Raise key issues and risks in a timely manner to the Project Manager/Delivery Lead
  • Liaise with different levels of the hierarchy, especially with Development Leads, Quantitative Analytics teams and Risk Managers
  • Assess feasibility, risks, and data readiness for AI/ML/GenAI opportunities
  • Work with data owners, stewards and architects to identify required data sources, understand data lineage and constraints
  • Ensure requirements include data quality, metadata and governance needs (e.g. definitions, business rules, reference data, retention)
  • Contribute to and consume business glossaries, ontologies and data catalogues to ensure consistent terminology and understanding
  • Help ensure AI use cases comply with data privacy, security and regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR, sector specific rules),
  • Translate business needs into requirements for AI/analytics solutions (e.g. decision support, predictions, recommendations, GenAI copilots).
  • Work with data scientists / engineers / AI teams to define test scenarios and acceptance criteria that reflect business reality (e.g. edge cases, thresholds for “good enough” accuracy).
  • Follow best practices, as defined by the team standards; ensuring that documentation is complete, comprehensive and signed off
  • Assist with the prioritisation and planning of key deliverables
  • Work in an agile manner whilst still understanding the needs of planning and forecasting the overall delivery
  • Demonstrate strong stakeholder Management, leadership, decision-making and Problem-Solving skills.

What You Will Bring

 

As a Business Analyst, you will have 7-10+ years in business analyst roles across data, security, compliance, or cloud platforms, with proven experience delivering enterprise scale solutions. You’ll have a strong background in data management and data security/governance programmes.

 

Experience & Core Capabilities

 

  • Ability to delve deep into a topic/requirement, analyse the impact and provide solutions
  • Ability to assimilate information quickly and provide recommendation to support informed decision-making
  • Ability to use own initiative to resolve issues/ investigate and find solutions
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
  • Experience in working with cross-region teams and projects
  • Ability to guide medium sized teams.
  • Experience in delivering projects using an Agile methodology
  • Strong understanding of data concepts: data quality, master/reference data, metadata, lineage, governance.
  • Ability to interpret outputs from analytics, dashboards and models, and challenge them from a business perspective.

 

"Must-have” BA skills:

 

  • Requirements elicitation for functional and non-functional requirements
  • Business Process analysis, modelling and mapping
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Experience with Waterfall, Agile, Scrum methodologies
  • Communication & consulting skills
  • Experience in data-driven project
  • Cross-industry functional knowledge
  • Full delivery lifecycle experience: elicitation, design, build, testing, business change, operational support
  • Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts (e.g. supervised vs unsupervised learning, prediction vs classification, model drift, basic evaluation metrics).
  • Comfortable working with requirements / modelling tools (BPMN, UML, user story tools, backlog management)
  • Experience eliciting and documenting data privacy, security and regulatory requirements
  • Understanding of access controls, data minimisation, and appropriate use of data in AI systems
  • Strong stakeholder management – able to bridge business, data, architecture and engineering worlds
  • Comfortable challenging assumptions about AI (“shiny object syndrome”) and focusing on value, feasibility and risk

 


“Good-to-have” skills:

 

  • BA/SCRUM/PM qualifications
  • Master Data Management, data governance, data modelling exposure
  • Tools: JIRA, Confluence, etc.
  • Experience working on projects that use AI, ML or advanced analytics – ideally from discovery through to adoption.
  • Experience collaborating around BI/analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
  • Exposure to AI platforms (e.g. Azure OpenAI / other LLM services, data science environments, MLOps platforms) – as a partner/user rather than a builder

Security Clearence: To be successfully appointed to this role, must be eligible to obtain Security Check (SC)clearance. 
To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.
