Lead Hardware Engineer
Your role
Capgemini Engineering are seeking to appoint a Hardware Systems engineer to work on safety critical, defence related projects. You will operate in a project environment working with our team to design an end-to-end hardware/software system.
In this role you will play a key role in:
- Liaise closely with our clients to develop system requirements for safety related/critical, real-time, embedded systems.
- Allocate functional and safety requirements between hardware and software.
- Support project safety engineers in hardware hazard analyses and identify mitigations.
- Develop system hardware architectures and system safety arguments.
- Support activities surrounding EMC qualification and environmental certification.
Your profile
Essential
- Degree qualified in a relevant subject and Chartered Engineer status.
- 10+ years’ experience in the full development lifecycle (requirements to manufacture) of hardware for safety critical, embedded software defence systems.
- A current SC clearance or willingness to apply.
- Experience in formal methods and/or rigorous design notations such as SCADE.
- A good appreciation of safety engineering, reliability engineering and security considerations.
- Strong customer facing and interpersonal skills
Desirable
- Knowledge and/or appreciation of ADA and/or SPARK
- Ability to lead small teams of up to 5 people.
