Technical Project Manager

CONTEXT
The Capex Engineering Platform manages the planning, monitoring and control of capital projects to meet cost, schedule, quality, safety and performance targets. The role supports the Platform’s investment program by ensuring timely implementation of new or improved assets, applying fitforpurpose engineering solutions aligned with HSE and business needs, maintaining strong field presence during execution, and acting as a knowhow carrier for technical and projectmanagement topics.
ROLE
Serve as Technical Project Manager or Project Engineer for capital projects. Shape project scope, manage tradeoffs, support investment proposals and ensure alignment between business needs, technical solutions and execution. Provide onsite supervision and ensure compliance with HSE, quality and performance expectations.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead capital projects as Technical Project Manager / Project Engineer.
• Translate business needs into technical options and evaluate tradeoffs.
• Contribute to engineering capital proposals.
• Participate in PRA, WRA and safety initiatives and ensure process adherence.
• Track construction progress to meet demanding timelines.
• Design and specify equipment with engineering teams.
• Apply and monitor standards for design, procurement and construction.
• Coordinate technical meetings and ensure quality control (CSFs, KPIs).
• Plan and monitor mechanical and asset commissioning.
• Provide support during process commissioning and ensure proper project closure and handover.
SKILLS & PROFILE
• Technical degree (process, chemical, mechanical engineering or similar).
• Experience across full project life cycle as Project Engineer / Manager.
• Experience leading external resources.
• Good understanding of maintenance principles and process risk analysis.
• Knowledge of HSE and compliance requirements for CAPEX.
• Structured, precise and solutionoriented working style.
• Strong coordination and assertive communication skills.
• German required.
• PMP or equivalent is an asset.
