Description and Location
We are looking for a Cybersecurity Consultant with solid technical foundations and hands-on experience in security operations, risk management, and the implementation of cybersecurity controls across IT environments. The ideal candidate will support clients in improving their security posture, identifying risks, and implementing best-practice security solutions aligned with business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design, implementation, and operation of cybersecurity controls across IT infrastructures, applications, and cloud environments.
- Participate in security assessments, risk analyses, and gap analysis against recognized security frameworks and standards.
- Contribute to incident response activities, including investigation, containment, and remediation of security incidents.
- Participate in an on-call support rotation outside standard business hours (approximately one week per month) to provide incident response and operational cybersecurity support when required.
- Support the definition and improvement of security policies, procedures, and operational processes.
- Collaborate with IT, DevOps, Cloud, and business teams to integrate security-by-design principles.
- Assist in compliance and audit-related activities (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, etc.).
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and recommendations for internal teams and clients.
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT security, or related roles.
- Strong understanding of core cybersecurity concepts:
- Network and infrastructure security
- Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Vulnerability management
- Security monitoring and incident response
- Familiarity with on-prem and/or cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP is a plus).
- Ability to analyze security risks and propose pragmatic mitigation measures.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation outside business hours (approximately one week per month).
Education
- University degree in a technical field, such as:
- Computer Science
- Telecommunications Engineering
- Information Systems
- Or equivalent technical studies
Certifications (Nice to Have)
- Security+
- CEH
- ISO 27001 Foundation / Lead Implementer
- CCSP, CISSP (Junior/Associate level also acceptable)
- Cloud security certifications are a plus
Working Model
Participation in an on-call rotation outside standard business hours is required (approximately one week per month).
