Job Description
This role involves the development and application of engineering practice and knowledge in the following technologies: Standards and protocols, application software and embedded software for wireless and satellite networks, fixed networks and enterprise networks; connected devices (IOT and device engineering), connected applications (5G/ edge, B2X apps); and Telco Cloud, Automation and Edge Compute platforms. This role also involves the integration of network systems and their operations, related to the above technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage WLAN testing projects ensuring performance, functionality, and security of wireless networks.
- Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for wireless network validation.
- Automate test cases using Python to improve efficiency and coverage.
- Analyze test results, generate reports, and provide actionable insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve WLAN performance issues.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated on emerging wireless technologies including Wi-Fi 6/6E/7, 5G, and IoT.
- Mentor junior engineers and share best practices.
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with WLAN testing tools like Wireshark, Ixia, Spirent, or similar.
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
- Deep understanding of wireless networking protocols: 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, 5G, LTE.
- Experience in debugging and resolving wireless performance and security issues.
- Familiarity with network security concepts and best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field.
- Certifications such as CWNA, CWNP, or CCNA (Wireless) are a plus.
