Your Role
As a WLAN Development Lead, you will be responsible for defining and developing advanced wireless driver architecture aligned with evolving IEEE 802.11 standards. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performance WLAN solutions for embedded systems and mobile platforms.
In this role, you will:
- Design and architect WLAN driver software for embedded platforms (Linux/Android)
- Define driver architecture aligned with hardware and firmware specifications
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and product teams to define system-level features and ensure seamless integration
- Lead code reviews, performance tuning, and design optimizations
- Analyze and resolve complex WLAN connectivity, performance, and interoperability issues
- Drive architectural decisions for scalability, modularity, and future expansion
- Evaluate emerging WLAN standards (802.11ax/be) and integrate support into design
- Mentor and guide junior engineers in driver and embedded software development
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field
- 12+ years of experience in embedded systems, with 5+ years in WLAN driver/firmware development
- Strong expertise in Linux kernel, WLAN MAC/PHY architecture, and driver development
- In-depth knowledge of IEEE 802.11 protocols and coexistence mechanisms (Bluetooth, LTE)
- Experience with SDIO, PCIe, USB interfaces for wireless SoCs
- Proficiency in debugging tools such as Wireshark, logic analyzers, and JTAG
- Familiarity with WLAN certifications (FCC, CE, WFA) and test tools like Veriwave, Spirent, LitePoint
