Validation Engineer (C, ADA, RTRT) | 6 to 9 years | Bengaluru

Job Description

Seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Validation Engineer with hands-on experience in Ada programming, C language, and RTRT (Rational Test RealTime). The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating embedded software systems, ensuring compliance with functional and safety requirements, and contributing to the development of robust testing frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute validation test cases using RTRT for embedded systems.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and system-level validation for software written in Ada and C.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams for resolution.
• Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, and validation results.
• Contribute to the design and maintenance of automated test environments and test scripts.
• Document validation procedures, test plans, and reports in accordance with industry standards.
• Apply multi-paradigm programming principles to enhance test coverage and efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field.
• 4–8 years of experience in software validation, embedded systems, or test automation.
• Strong proficiency in:
  • Ada programming language
  • C language
  • RTRT (Rational Test RealTime)
• Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and validation methodologies.
• Experience with information technology infrastructure, system interfaces, and configuration management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in aerospace, automotive, or safety-critical systems.
• Knowledge of DO-178C, ISO 26262, or similar standards.
• Exposure to Linux/UNIX environments, Perl/Python scripting, or version control systems.
