Job Description

  • We are seeking a skilled Veeam Backup Administrator/Engineer to manage, configure, and optimize our backup and disaster recovery solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience with Veeam Backup & Replication, cloud-based backup strategies, and data protection best practices.
  • Design, implement, and maintain Veeam Backup & Replication solutions.
  • Configure and manage backup policies, schedules, and storage repositories.
  • Monitor backup performance, troubleshoot failures, and ensure data integrity.
  • Manage backup and disaster recovery processes for virtual and physical environments.
  • Implement backup retention policies and compliance requirements.
  • Perform regular backup testing and recovery drills to validate data integrity.
  • Optimize backup storage and deduplication to improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate Veeam with VMware, Hyper-V, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Ensure disaster recovery strategies align with business continuity plans.
  • Document backup configurations, recovery procedures, and system changes.
  • Required Qualifications & Skills:
  • Proven experience with Veeam Backup & Replication in enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of backup strategies, disaster recovery, and storage solutions.
  • Experience with VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, and cloud backup (AWS/Azure).
  • Knowledge of tape backup solutions, NAS, SAN, and object storage.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation is a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Certifications like Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE) or related IT certifications are a plus.
