Your Role
- Create, revise, validate, and maintain technical publications in line with customer requirements and quality standards.
- Interpret engineering source data, drawings, specifications, service bulletins, and engineering change requests.
- Author and update technical documentation using approved authoring tools and structured authoring methodologies.
- Perform publication impact assessments and implement engineering changes accurately.
- Conduct self-reviews and peer reviews to ensure first-time-right quality delivery.
- Support publication planning, estimation, workload management, and delivery commitments.
- Resolve technical queries through collaboration with engineering teams and stakeholders.
- Maintain document traceability, configuration control, and compliance with customer standards.
- Participate in process improvement, automation, productivity, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance where required.
Your Profile
- 2 to 6 years of experience in Technical Publications / Technical Authoring.
- Strong understanding of the Technical Publications lifecycle and documentation processes.
- Experience with authoring and publishing tools such as Arbortext Editor, FrameMaker, Contenta, SAP, or similar tools.
- Working knowledge of XML/SGML structured authoring concepts.
- Familiarity with aerospace documentation standards such as S1000D, ATA/iSpec2200, ASD-STE100, or equivalent customer standards.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, maintenance manuals, technical specifications, and source data.
- Experience in configuration management, engineering change implementation, and impact analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience in mentoring team members and supporting continuous improvement initiatives is preferred.
- BE/B.Tech (Aerospace/Aeronautical) or AME (Avionics/Mechanical) preferred.
- Experience in aerospace technical documentation is an advantage.
