Your Profile
- Mandatory experience in Aerospace and prior engineering involvement with Airbus programs.
- Strong hands‑on experience with CATIA V5 for aircraft structures or airframe design.
- Expertise in designing primary structural components such as skins, frames, and stringers.
- Good understanding of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and engineering drawing standards.
- Experience with detailing, assembly design, and BOM management.
- Knowledge of aircraft structural methodologies, Airbus processes, and engineering governance.
- Experience in working with metallic and composite structural parts.
- Familiarity with PASS, VPM, and other PLM tools is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Your Role
As a Structures Design Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high‑quality aircraft structural designs in alignment with Airbus standards and global aerospace engineering requirements. You will work extensively with CATIA V5 to create, modify, and validate 3D models and detailed drawings for primary and secondary aircraft structures. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure manufacturability, compliance, and accuracy throughout the design lifecycle.
In this role, you will:
- Develop structural 3D models and detailed drawings using CATIA V5 for aircraft components such as skins, frames, stringers, clips, brackets, and fittings.
- Perform legacy data conversion for primary and secondary structures, including machined, sheet metal, extruded, metallic, and composite parts.
- Execute end‑to‑end design, detailing, assembly creation, and BOM management in accordance with Airbus standards.
- Design structures for functional areas such as Doors, Wings, HTP, VTP, Pylon, and MSI.
- Use CATIA V5 modules including Part Design, Generative Shape Design (Surface), Sheet Metal, Assembly, and Drafting, GD&T.
- Collaborate with Airbus stakeholders using engineering tools such as PASS and VPM (added advantage).
- Ensure adherence to established aircraft design methodologies, certification rules, and engineering processes.
