Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SB Author to join our Aerospace Technical Publications team. The successful candidate will be responsible for independently authoring and revising Standard (STD) Service Bulletins (SB) for Airbus aircraft programs, specifically in the Airframe (ATA 50–57) and Hydro Mechanical & Cargo systems (ATA 11, 12, 21, 25, 26, 28, 29, 32, 33, 7X) domains. This role spans across Airbus platforms including WB, SA, LR, MB, and XWB, and requires strong technical analysis and documentation skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Author and revise/legacy Service Bulletins as per SBO requirements.
- Perform configuration analysis to identify pre- and post-mod drawings (RSE/UPG process).
- Apply Airbus documentation standards: S1000D, iSpec2200, ASD-STE100.
- Conduct technical analysis of criteria and related data sources.
- Study aircraft zones and access to define work locations.
- Author SBs using tools such as:
- SAMM DACAS
- TAKSY
- GIDOCA
- GYPSY
- Airn@v
- ZAMIZ
- PASS SSCI
- APS
- Work with SAP PCS for configuration and data management.
- Handle cold working SBs and related procedures.
- Follow authoring sequences as per the Quality Plan.
- Estimate timelines and commit realistically to project schedules.
- Communicate actively with customers to resolve queries.
- Perform mock-up and authoring using Arbortext or Epic Editor.
- Maintain quality (RFT) and KPIs for assigned tasks.
- Ensure on-time delivery (OTD) and manage workload effectively.
- Follow workflow processes including INC, DCR, and quality checks.
- Conduct root cause analysis using 5 Why and 8D methods (NCR handling).
Primary Skills
- Strong experience in authoring STD SBs for Airbus programs: WB, SA, LR, MB, XWB.
- Proficiency in Airframe and Hydro Mech & Cargo ATA chapters.
- Hands-on expertise with Airbus authoring and configuration tools.
- Deep understanding of engineering drawings and aircraft systems.

Preferred Qualifications
- B.E / B.Tech in Aeronautical Engineering
- B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with aerospace industry exposure
- AME with airline and SB authoring experience
- Looking for 4 -9Yrs grade for Bangalore location
