Senior Infrastructure Engineer-Oracle, Postgresql Migration

Your Role

Oracle DBA

• We are seeking an experienced Database Engineer / DBA to analyze; optimize; modularize; and migrate a large-scale shared Oracle database (5TB) supporting multiple business modules.
• The role involves deep database analysis; performance tuning; schema refactoring; and leading migration to PostgreSQL with a module-based architecture that enables microservices development.
• The candidate will work closely with architects; developers; DevOps teams; and business stakeholders to ensure a smooth transformation from monolithic database architecture to modular; scalable PostgreSQL schemas.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform comprehensive analysis of a 5TB shared Oracle database Assess: Tables & relationships Stored procedures Triggers Packages SQL & PL/SQL logic Indexes (B-Tree; bitmap; composite)Synonyms & dependencies Sequences Constraints & referential integrity
• Identify: Cross-module dependencies Tight coupling between modules Redundant tables & unused objects Performance bottlenecks.

Your Profile

Primary Skills:

• Oracle to PostgreSQL migration experience.
•  Experience with:AWS DMS AWS SCT

Secondary Skills:

• Strong PostgreSQL architecture knowledge PL/pgSQL
