Senior Infrastructure Engineer-Maria DBA

Your Role

• Installing various versions of PostGres/MariaDB on Linux ; Windows; and other operating systems in both on-premise and on Cloud like Azure Managing Cloud(Azure) Managed PostGres/MariaDB.
• Areas of experience include Installation; Creation; and Maintenance of Databases.
• Taking online and offline backups; Managing daily; weekly backups.
• Responsible for weekly DB maintenance; and production database release tasks.
• Worked with storage engines MyISAM; InnoDB; Memory; etc.
• Installing PostGres/MariaDB with source and binary distribution.
• Perform security patching; bug fixes; and minor upgrades on production; pre-prod; and development database instances.
• Troubleshooting major incidents; connectivity issues; performance; and database slowness issues for database instances.
• Monitoring performance and availability of databases during business hours and on-call hours.

Your Profile

• Primary Skill: MariaDB Administration
  (Installation, configuration, replication, backup/restore, performance tuning, upgrades, clustering — including Galera, InnoDB, NDB, and cloud-managed MariaDB on Azure/AWS)
• Secondary Skill: SQL Database Administration (SQL DBA)
  (Database maintenance, monitoring, security, scripting, optimization, backup strategies, and cross-platform DB operations on Linux/Windows)
