Your Role

We are hiring an Senior AWS Engineer with experience range 6 to 9 years for  Bangalore location. This role is responsible for managing and optimizing Databricks and AWS environments to support reliable, secure, and scalable analytics and machine‑learning operations. It includes administering platform configurations, ensuring strong user and access governance, and monitoring system health to quickly resolve incidents. The role also focuses on integrating and automating data workflows, maintaining compliance with organizational security standards, and producing clear documentation and enablement materials. Continuous improvement and user experience enhancement are central to driving efficient data and AI initiatives.

 

Databricks Platform Management: Administer, configure, and maintain Databricks environments to ensure efficient analytics and machine learning operations.
AWS Environment Administration: Oversee AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, IAM, Glue, Lambda) for secure, scalable, and reliable data platform operations.
User and Access Management: Implement and manage roles, permissions, and user provisioning within Databricks and AWS in adherence to AstraZeneca’s data governance policies.
Incident Response and Troubleshooting: Monitor system health, respond to platform issues, and resolve service incidents, collaborating with IT and vendor support as needed.
Integration and Automation: Support deployments and integrations of data pipelines between Databricks, AWS, and other systems; automate routine platform administration tasks.
Security and Compliance: Enforce security protocols and regulatory requirements, conduct platform monitoring, and support internal and external audits.
Documentation and Enablement: Maintain platform guides and procedures; provide training and best practices to technical and business users.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize platform use, enhance user experience, and increase operational efficiency for analytics and AI initiatives.
