Your Role
As an SFCC (Salesforce Commerce Cloud) Backend Developer, you will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining scalable backend solutions on the Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) platform. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams including frontend engineers, UI/UX designers, QA, and product owners to deliver high‑quality eCommerce features that enhance customer experience and drive business growth.
In This Role, You Will Play a Key Role In:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining backend components using SFCC B2C (formerly Demandware), including controllers, pipelines, and jobs.
- Creating and customizing APIs, integrations, and data workflows with external systems such as payment gateways, OMS, ERP, and CRM solutions.
- Optimizing platform performance, identifying bottlenecks, and ensuring high scalability and stability.
- Implementing best practices for code quality, security, and reusability across SFCC modules.
- Participating in code reviews, troubleshooting issues, and providing solutions aligned with business requirements.
- Working with Business Managers and UX/UI teams to ensure seamless integration between backend logic and storefront experiences.
- Utilizing Salesforce Commerce Cloud Script (JS), ISML, and OCAPI/SFCC APIs to deliver efficient backend solutions.
- Maintaining accurate technical documentation, deployment notes, and version control practices.

You are a proactive backend engineer with strong expertise in SFCC, a keen eye for scalability, and the ability to work collaboratively in an agile environment. You enjoy solving complex integration challenges and delivering high‑quality code in fast‑moving eCommerce ecosystems.

Strong SFCC Backend Expertise
Experience with controllers, scripts, ISML templates, Business Manager configuration, pipelines, and scheduled jobs. -
Proficiency in Node.js / JavaScript (ES5/ES6)
For SFCC scripting, server‑side logic, and custom service integrations. -
API Development & Integrations (OCAPI / SFRA / REST)
Hands-on experience with Open Commerce APIs (OCAPI), Salesforce Reference Architecture (SFRA), and external service integrations. -
Experience with Version Control & CI/CD
Git, Jenkins, Bitbucket, or similar tools for structured deployments and environment management. -
Strong Knowledge of eCommerce Architecture
Understanding of data flows, checkout cycles, promotions, catalog management, caching, and performance tuning.
