Your Role

As a SAS Developer, your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain SAS-based ETL processes and data integration workflows. You will:

  • Develop and optimize SAS DI jobs and flows for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  • Perform data analytics, data lineage reviews, and ensure data quality using SAS Enterprise Guide and Data Integration Studio.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and technical teams to translate business requirements into efficient SAS solutions.
  • Create data dissemination mechanisms to summarize and deliver data into DB2 and Teradata for downstream reporting tools like Cognos.
  • Assist in maintaining SAS infrastructure both on-premises and on AWS Cloud.
  • Ensure robust error handling, data validation, and performance tuning of SAS ETL processes.
  • Support scheduling and automation of jobs using LSF, Cron-tab, TWS, or Unix.
  • Participate in full project lifecycle from development to implementation, including unit testing and UAT.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to provide guidance on SAS tools, coding techniques, and statistical methodologies.

Your Profile

  • SAS DI and SAS Enterprise Guide for ETL and data integration.
  • SAS Base programming and advanced SAS functions.
  • SQL and database handling across DB2, Oracle, MySQL, and Teradata.
  • Designing and implementing data pipelines from multiple sources and formats.
  • Data quality analysis, error handling, and performance optimization.
  • Understanding of Type I and Type II slowly changing dimensions in ETL.
  • Job scheduling and automation using LSF, Cron-tab, TWS.
  • Familiarity with SAS Management Console and Platform Process Manager.
  • Exposure to cloud environments (AWS) for SAS infrastructure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in Finance/Credit Risk domain.
  • Added advantage: Knowledge of DBT for data transformation.
