Job Description

Works in the area of SAP Technical Architecture, which encompasses the design, development, governance, and optimization of SAP landscapes and solutions.

  1. Applies scientific methods to analyze and solve SAP architecture and development challenges, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance across environments.

  2. He/she is responsible for the design and application of SAP technical architecture and development practices, including research, solution design, implementation, and maintenance for large-scale transformation programs.

  3. His/her work requires the exercise of original thought and judgment, with the ability to lead technical workshops, mentor junior resources, and supervise the technical and administrative work of other SAP engineers.

  4. The SAP Technical Architect builds skills and expertise in SAP S/4HANA architecture and ABAP development, reaching standard expectations for the applicable role as defined in Professional Communities.

  5. The SAP Technical Architect collaborates and acts as a team player with other SAP engineers and stakeholders, driving integration with SAP BTP, middleware, and cloud platforms.

Job Description - Grade Specific

Has 12–15 years of relevant work experience. Possesses a solid understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture, ABAP development principles, and technical design concepts. Consistently works to direction with minimal supervision, producing accurate and reliable results across complex SAP landscapes. Individuals are expected to be able to work on a range of tasks and problems, demonstrating their ability to apply deep technical expertise and architectural knowledge.

Organises own time to deliver against tasks set by others with a mid-term horizon, while also providing guidance on SAP Activate methodology, CI/CD enablement, and automation strategies. Works co-operatively with others to achieve team goals and has a direct and positive impact on project performance. Makes decisions based on a thorough understanding of the situation, balancing technical best practices with business requirements.
