Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Repair Engineer specializing in Wing Perimeter Structures to support structural repair design and stress analysis activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aerospace engineering, computer-aided engineering (CAE), and in-service support, with hands-on experience using tools like CATIA, ISAMI, and CAESAM Desktop. This role involves evaluating damage, proposing repair solutions, and ensuring compliance with airworthiness standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess structural damage and develop repair solutions for wing perimeter components.
- Perform detailed stress analysis and design validation using CAE tools.
- Create and review CAD models and repair drawings using CATIA.
- Use ISAMI and CAESAM Desktop for structural justification and documentation.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and airworthiness teams to ensure repair feasibility and compliance.
- Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement of repair processes.
- Prepare technical documentation and reports for regulatory and internal approvals.
Primary Skills:
- Stress Analysis & Structural Design: Strong experience in structural repair and justification for wing structures.
- CAE Tools: Proficiency in CAESAM Desktop for ISAMI, CATIA, and other simulation tools.
- CAD & Engineering Design: Expertise in computer-aided engineering and 3D modeling.
- Physics Simulations: Understanding of structural behavior under load and damage conditions.
- Aerospace Standards: Familiarity with airworthiness regulations and repair standards.
Secondary Skills:
- Computer Simulation: Experience with simulation workflows and validation techniques.
- Engineering Documentation: Ability to create and manage technical reports and repair justifications.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Experience working with multidisciplinary teams including stress, design, and manufacturing.
- Problem Solving: Analytical mindset for troubleshooting and optimizing repair solutions.
- Project Coordination: Basic understanding of project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in structural repair and stress analysis, preferably in aerospace.
- Familiarity with wing structure design, in-service support, and aircraft maintenance environments.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
