About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Physical Design Engineer with strong expertise in ASIC/SoC design flows and signoff processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with advanced technology nodes, AMD tool chains, and end-to-end physical implementation. This role involves working on complex designs, optimizing performance, and ensuring high‑quality silicon results across multiple domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform end‑to‑end physical design activities for ASIC/SoC projects.
- Work extensively on floorplanning, placement, CTS, and routing.
- Handle multi‑mode multi‑corner (MMMC) timing closure for large‑scale designs.
- Conduct IR/EM analysis and resolve power integrity issues.
- Execute CLP, VCLP, and FEV checks and ensure design rule compliance.
- Manage power, clock, and domain partitioning strategies.
- Work with signoff tools to validate timing, power, and physical metrics.
- Collaborate with architecture and RTL teams for performance and convergence.
- Troubleshoot design bottlenecks and optimize for PPA (Power, Performance, Area).
Required Skills & Expertise
Experience
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience in ASIC/SoC physical design.
- Strong expertise in AMD physical design flow and signoff tool chains.
