Management Consultant – Finance & CFO Advisory at Capgemini Invent focuses on controllership and transactional finance transformations, excluding FP&A.

Role Overview

As a Management Consultant – Finance & CFO Advisory at Capgemini Invent, you will partner with CFOs and finance leaders to design and deliver finance transformation programs that enhance performance, resilience, and enterprise value across core controllership and transactional finance areas. You will operate at the intersection of strategy, operating model, process and technology, helping clients reimagine the role of Finance as a strategic business partner in a data-driven, digitally enabled organization.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver strategic advice and thought leadership to CFOs on topics such as finance strategy, target operating model, performance management, cost optimization, working capital, and capital allocation with clear focus on tangible value realization.
• Lead work streams or smaller end-to-end engagements in finance transformation, including process redesign for Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay and associated governance, policies and controls.
• Diagnose client issues through qualitative and quantitative analysis, develop robust business cases, and design roadmaps for finance modernization, digital finance, shared services/GBS expansion and close/reporting improvements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (strategy, data, technology, operations) to architect and oversee the implementation of integrated solutions that address complex finance and performance challenges, without direct configuration or build responsibilities.
• Support business development through proposal creation, pitch participation, and identification of new opportunities within existing and new client accounts in the CFO advisory and finance transformation space.
• Contribute to practice development by creating thought leadership, developing methods and accelerators, and mentoring junior consultants within the Finance & CFO Advisory community.

• Strategic, CFO-centric mindset with the ability to connect finance transformation initiatives in controllership and transactional finance to broader enterprise strategy, value creation and performance management.
• Natural curiosity about emerging trends in digital finance, automation, data & analytics, ESG, GenAI and the evolving role of the CFO, with a passion for continuous learning and thought leadership.
