Mainframe ZOS Administrator

Your Role

  • Deliver end-to-end support for mainframe environments including configuration, installation, operations, and disaster recovery.
  • Coordinate with global teams for asset installation and lifecycle management (servers, storage, middleware, automation tools).
  • Perform daily operations such as batch job scheduling, system monitoring, and incident resolution.
  • Manage subsystems like CICS, IMS, and DataCom, including automated startup/shutdown and recovery.
  • Administer databases (DB2, IMS), middleware (CICS, MQ), and system software (z/OS, RACF).
  • Support network, storage, backup operations, and ensure compliance with security and audit requirements.
  • Design and implement disaster recovery solutions, conduct DR validation exercises, and manage recovery efforts.

Your Profile

  • 4-6 years of experience in mainframe infrastructure support and administration.
  • Strong knowledge of z/OS, DB2, IMS, CICS, and related technologies.
  • Proficiency in JCL, CA7, and system automation frameworks.
  • Familiarity with ITSM processes including incident, change, and problem management.
  • Experience in disaster recovery planning and execution.
  • Native or business-level Japanese language proficiency (mandatory for Tokyo location).
  • Certifications such as IBM Certified System Administrator – z/OS or ITIL Foundation preferred.
