Mainframe Capacity & Performance Administrator

Your Role

  • Monitor and analyze mainframe system performance using tools like RMF, SMF, and other performance monitoring utilities.
  • Conduct capacity planning by forecasting future resource needs based on usage trends and business growth.
  • Perform performance tuning by optimizing system configurations and implementing best practices.
  • Generate and present regular reports on system performance, capacity utilization, and trends, with actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with application developers, infrastructure engineers, and other IT teams to resolve performance issues and implement enhancements.

Your Profile

  • 4-12 years of experience in mainframe performance and capacity planning, especially with IBM z/OS systems.
  • Proficient in using RMF, SMF, and other performance and capacity planning tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
