Job Description

Capgemini is looking for a Lab Support & IoT Test Engineer with a strong background in Python programming, data science, and 3GPP telecommunications standards. The ideal candidate will work on advanced analytics and AI-driven solutions for mobile networks, contributing to the evolution of 4G/5G systems and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze large-scale telecom datasets to extract insights and support network optimization.
• Apply 3GPP standards to model and simulate mobile network behavior.
• Develop machine learning models for predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and traffic forecasting.
• Collaborate with telecom engineers to align data science solutions with RAN/core network requirements.
• Build and maintain data pipelines using Python, Pandas, NumPy, and SQL.
• Create dashboards and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Contribute to PoCs and research initiatives in AI for telecom.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in Python and data science libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Matplotlib)
• Strong understanding of 3GPP protocols, RAN, and core network architecture
• Experience with data processing, data wrangling, and statistical analysis
• Familiarity with telecom KPIs, network logs, and performance metrics
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Knowledge of 5G NR, network slicing, or Open RAN
• Background in telecom engineering, signal processing, or wireless communication
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or Data Science
