Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Author – IPC to join our Aerospace Technical Publications team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the creation, modification, and revision of Illustrated Parts Catalogs (IPC) for Airbus aircraft programs, ensuring compliance with Airbus standards and documentation processes. This role involves close collaboration with engineering, configuration, and illustration teams to deliver accurate and high-quality IPC content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, modify, and revise IPC content for Airbus programs: SA, LR, MB, and XWB (A319, A320, A321, A330, A340, A350, A380).
  • Analyze and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and change requests to update IPC content.
  • Ensure compliance with Airbus documentation standards and processes.
  • Perform impact analysis to assess and implement changes accurately.
  • Guide and mentor junior authors and illustrators.
  • Conduct reviews of completed work orders and provide constructive feedback.
  • Perform root cause analysis for rejections and implement preventive actions.
  • Develop and deliver content for internal knowledge sharing and training sessions.

Primary Skills

  • Strong experience in IPC authoring for Airbus aircraft programs.
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, parts lists, and exploded views.
  • Hands-on expertise with Airbus tools and platforms:
  • GIPSY
  • GIDOCA
  • SAP
  • ZAMIZ
  • DACAS
  • PDMLink
  • Familiarity with ATA chapters related to parts and assemblies.

Secondary Skills

  • Knowledge of documentation standards:
  • ATA iSpec2200
  • S1000D
  • ASD-STE100
  • Strong attention to detail and quality assurance.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in mentoring and training team members.

Preferred Qualifications

  • B.E/B.Tech in Aeronautical Engineering, AME, or Diploma in Aeronautics with relevant technical publication experience.
  • 2–8 years of experience in IPC authoring within the aerospace domain.
  • Certification in S1000D or ASD-STE100 is a plus.
  • Experience working with Airbus documentation tools and standards.
