Your Role

As an Enterprise Archive & Google Vault Migration Engineer, you will be responsible for managing end‑to‑end archival migration projects, configuring compliance systems, and ensuring data integrity throughout the migration lifecycle. You will leverage your technical expertise in archiving platforms, Google Vault, and scripting automation to deliver secure and compliant data transfers at scale.

In This Role, You Will

• Configure and manage Proofpoint Enterprise Archive, including search, eDiscovery, export workflows, and archive policy management.
• Set up and administer Google Vault, including retention rules, holds, search parameters, permissions, and export processes.
• Execute large‑scale archive migration projects using tools such as CloudM Migrate, BitRecover, or custom automation (Python, PowerShell).
• Define and manage end‑to‑end data migration phases—assessment, extraction, transformation, ingestion, validation, and cutover.
• Work with Google Workspace Admin Console and APIs for directory management, data governance, and security configuration.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks, audit requirements, and defensible deletion standards.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams including IT, Legal, Compliance, and Information Security.
• Generate detailed reports on extraction, ingestion, metadata mapping, data completeness, and exception handling.
• Develop scripts to automate repetitive migration, validation, or transformation tasks.

Your Profile

Technical Skills

• 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Proofpoint Enterprise Archive, including configuration, eDiscovery, and export operations.
• 2+ years of experience with Google Vault, including retention policies, holds, search, and export workflows.
• Strong understanding of email archiving architectures, metadata models, and compliance‑driven storage mechanisms.
• Experience with migration platforms: CloudM Migrate, BitRecover, or custom tools using Python/PowerShell.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace Admin Console, APIs, and directory services.
• Strong understanding of email protocols (SMTP, IMAP, EWS) and archive file formats (EML, PST, MBOX, MSG).

Compliance & Governance

• Familiarity with standards and regulations including GDPR, SOX, HIPAA, FINRA, SEC Rule 17a‑4, or equivalent.
• Experience executing eDiscovery, legal holds, audit trails, and chain‑of‑custody processes.
• Understanding of retention schedules, information lifecycle management, and defensible deletion practices.

Project Management

• Demonstrated success managing large-scale migration projects involving 100K+ mailboxes or multi‑terabyte archives.
• Strong skills in risk assessment, mitigation planning, and stakeholder communication.
• Experience with phased deployment, pilot testing, rollback planning, and post‑migration validation.
